Not long ago I blogged about a Lemania calibre 3170 and now I’m going to put together it’s cousin the 3060.
This Lemania was bought as a complete project, but when I received the watch it was missing the bezel ring and the project was put on ice. My friend Anders helped me source a new bezel ring motivating me to finish the project:)
The movement is in very good condition.
Here you can see the gear train layout.
Old mainspring.
Everything taken apart and cleaned.
New mainspring in the barrel.
As usual I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the jewels.
Movement coming together nicely.
Setting/winding mechanism going back in the movement.
Almost back together.
Movement starts ticking straight away when fitting the balance.
Not looking bad, but the beat error is a little large.
I have to adjust the beat error by turning the inner collet that holds the hairspring to the balance staff.
Thats more like it.
Dial and hands go back onto the movement.
Both the old case clamps are broken, but a set of Omega 920 clamps are almost identical and will do the job.
Movement back in the case looking good.
Now that looks much better than a bunch of loose parts.
Unlike the Eterna I just did, this takes a lot of wrist space;)

The caliber 3060 (sweep seconds) version of the cal 3000 is less common. Wish I could see a picture of the dive helmet on the case!
