This is a rare beast! This is the second calibre 87 I have ever seen in person and the first with a date window. It’s in rather rough condition and the autowinder is completely worn down especially the rotor post and the rotor bush has a lot of slack causing the rotor to scrape against the case back and the movement. I have had this watch for two years now and finally a donor movement showed up.
This movement is dirty!

I see that the balance moves freely. The micro regulator is a work of art.
The minute hand is driven by a centre pinion rather than a centre wheel, this you also find on the Cyma Claibre 480.

The movement back in the case. I can’t wind the movement before the autowinder mechanism is in place as the intermediate autowinder wheel also works as the seconds intermediate crown wheel.
The Autowinder works on the same principle as Seiko but has a nicer execution (much less noisy). The oval rotor engages with a fork that has two fingers that drive the intermediate wheel.
That’s looking very good to me!
I replaced the luminous compound to something that matches the patina of the dial better.
