Movement looks to be in good condition.
The Dial is in excellent condition. The case is really beaten and will be sent away for a polish as it’s letting the watch down.
With the dial removed you can see the date mechanism.

I start taking apart the autowinder mechanism.
The ratchet wheel acts like giant a reverser wheel.
Plenty of dirt lying around in the movement.

I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the shock jewels.
The old mainspring is cleaned, oiled and goes back into the barrel.
