Service Revue Centenaire calibre 81 mitka88 9 years ago I always enjoy seeing a nice Revue calibre 81. This watch was partly dismantled, but I was confident we could get a good watch out of all the parts! I start by removing the setting/winding mechanism. The movement is in good condition. Here you can see the gear train layout. Old mainspring in the barrel. It looks rather tired so I replace it with a new one after cleaning. All the parts cleaned and ready to be put back together. I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the cap jewels. Everything looks much nicer after being cleaned;) Here I’m putting the winding/setting mechanism back in place. Movement back together and ticking. Watch preforming very well. Very nice watch! Hard to believe it’s from 1953!
