
I always enjoy seeing a nice Revue calibre 81. This watch was partly dismantled, but I was confident we could get a good watch out of all the parts!

I start by removing the setting/winding mechanism.

The movement is in good condition.

Here you can see the gear train layout.

Old mainspring in the barrel. It looks rather tired so I replace it with a new one after cleaning.

All the parts cleaned and ready to be put back together.

I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the cap jewels.

Everything looks much nicer after being cleaned;)

Here I’m putting the winding/setting mechanism back in place.

Movement back together and ticking.

Watch preforming very well.

Very nice watch! Hard to believe it’s from 1953!
