Service: Lemania calibre 3000

I have removed the dial and hands and everything looks very nice.

I lost a couple of photos while taking the movement apart, but here you can see the base movement after removing the balance cock.

Old mainspring in the barrel.

All parts are cleaned and ready to be put back together.

I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the shock jewels.

Setting/winding mechanism comes back together.

Base movement almost back together.

The old luminous compound was very brittle, but still retained a nice colour. So I decided to reinforce the compound with a thin layer of new compound on the under side.

Dial and hands go back onto the movement.

Movement goes back into the case looking great. The balance regulator is on the last bar towards slow, but as it’s keeping excellent time and is well poised I will leave this one as it is.

Just like it was in 1966!
