My name is Henrique Santos. I’m 40 years old. I’m Portuguese national, currently working and living in Norway. I’ve a Master on Naval Architecture and Marine Engineer and a PhD on Computational Mechanics. I work as software developer at one of the of the leading companies in structural engineering software for Oil & Gas. Five years ago, I become curious about watchmaking and horology related subjects. I’ve been self-taught on servicing wristwatches where, having an engineering background, seems to help! I do not have any work affiliation or commercial purpose apart the enjoyment of working with mechanical devices and discover hundreds of years of horological developments encased on such a small utilitarian device. Vintage watches become my favorite topic because it allies my interests in watchmaking, history and collectability’s.
