The first generation King Seiko is not something you see everyday outside of Japan. Introduced a year after the Grand Seiko it was meant to stimulate internal competition between the two Daini and Suwa factories. This ref: J14102E was manufactured in the month of July 1962 and has the Special dial with solid gold markers that don’t stain like the regular plated ones. Besides a couple of battle scars the dial has a fantastic champagne patina that really makes this watch look amazing in sunlight.
Case ref: J14102E is in used condition with the battle scars to prove it, but the original 100micron plating has held up very well. case back has no major damage with the medallion still in very good condition. the original crown is still on the watch. Case size 35mm w/o crown. The movement series 44 is in very good condition and has had a full service by me in April 2022.
