Omega calibre: 30T2-286

Omega started producing calibre: 30T2 about 1939 and it lasted until 1962. The movement was updated during it’s production run spawning many different variants. The Omega calibre 30T2 took over the role of calibre 26.5. Several variants where made during it’s production run:

Surface finish on the 30T2 is usually Rhodium and from the 265 it is copper guilted. Bridge has clean design with beveled edges. Screws are polished and have a good finish. The bridges are rhodium plated.

The Omega base plate on the 30T2 is perlage while on the 265 onwarsd a starburst finish. Winding mechanisms are well made with high finish on screws. Gear train has a good finish. Setting the time and winding feels balanced.

Omega 30T2RG, 30T2SCRG, 262 and 281 have a much improved finish on crown wheel, ratchet wheel, gear train, click and a Exenter micro regulator +10 Points*

The first models are not shock protected, but later got Inca shock as standard and at one point their own shock protection.

All variants of the calibre: 30T2 have a Breguet hairsprings and in good condition will keep exellent time.
