In 1950 Cyma Tavannes released a brand new movement. It features a unique balance cock/bridge that featured their in-house shock protection: CymaFlex and the sweep second variant had a adjustable tension spring on the sweep second pinion.

Surface finish on the bridges go from adequate to very fine Côtes de Genève with rhodium plating and beveled edges. All screws are highly polished. The ratchet and crown wheel have a basic starburst finish. Escape wheel has a cap jewel on both ends.
