This lovely Revue Nautique is in very good original condition and is only in need of a routine service.
The case back is very tight so to reduce the risk of scratching I super glue a nut onto the case back. I later dissolve the glue in Acetone.
Watch is not running too badly, but I know a service is in order as all the jewels are dry.
Case open.
Dial is in very good condition!
Winding/setting mechanism coming apart.
Gear train visible after removing the train bridge.
Old mainspring.
All the parts cleaned and ready to be put back together.
I see that the balance moves freely after fitting the cap jewels.
Mainspring in barrel.
Gear train now nice and clean before fitting the train bridge.
Movement almost back together.
Setting/winding mechanism going back into the movement.
Movement is preforming well.
This is a collet adjusted movement, so I use my little pin to adjust the beat error.
That’s much better:)
Movement ready for dial and hands.
Dial and hands back on the movement.
Movement back in the case looking good!
What a beauty!
Watch looks better in person than on the photos!
