Revue Sport 50’s re-edition from the 90’s calibre: MSR X1

P1140836A customer has sent in his lovely Revue sport that has stopped. It has the in-house calibre MSR X1 and I suspect a service will get it running again. I’m especially happy to work on this as when I was 16 I almost bought one as I loved the design.

Dial and hands removed you can see the winding/setting mechanism.

The pallet is rather unusual as it has a vertical pin that hits the bank guard that is situated on the pallet cock.

Very standard gear train layout in the MSR X1

Gear train goes back in place looking great.

Movement goes back into the case looking great.

Revue Sport 50's

Super retro design. I would say it should be called 40’s as the design is straight from their 40’s Sport model.

P1150021

Hard to tell them apart for a untrained eye;)
