By the 1930’s the demand for automatic wrist watches was growing and Cyma Tavannes co did not want to be left out. Within 1943 their first in-house developed and manufactured automatic movement was put into production, quite and impressive feat considering their factory burnt down in 1940 together with all their archives and tooling. Known for making quality watches the calibre 420 is no exception, it’s the engineers bumper with high focus on clever solutions.
