In 1962 Citizen watch co launched their next generation workhorse manual wind movement. These are known as Homer movements as they where fitted in the Citizen homer watch and sometimes lacking calibre identification stamp. officially the calibre name ranges from:0200-1805. They went out of production in Japan 1975, but lived on elsewhere. The Indian government secured a manufacturing license for HMT (Hindustan machine tools) for the calibre 0200 that continued up until 2016. The movement came standard with Citizens Para shock (shock protection). This might be a no thrills movement, but it’s robust, well made and can be found in many great looking Citizen watches. There is also a hacking lever variant made for Japanese railway.
