In 1945 Revue launched their new generation of movements; cal 76, 77, 78 and 79. All very similar in design, but the largest diameter being the calibre 77. It was 1mm thinner than the older calibre 59 it was phasing out. This movement laster into the 1960’s with various balance improvements and even a date feature. This movement is often found in the robust cases of the Revue sport series and Nautique model. I rate this movement very higly as it is reliable, well build and beautiful to look at.
