This Eterna is in wonderful condition but not keeping time. So time for a service;)
Low amplitude before cleaning.
Movement is dirty but in good condition.
Dial is in amazing condition.
Dial and hands removed you can see the plate that holds the date change mechanism in place.
After removing the date mechanism we get down to the winding/setting mechanism.
I like the decoration on Eterna movements.
There is quite a bit of old dirt lying around in the movement that could jam the gear train causing the watch to stop.
The old mainspring.
Movement cleaned and ready to be put back together.
Clean mainspring in the barrel.
Very funky micro regulator on these movements.
Gear train back in the movement looking nice and clean.
Setting/winding mechanism back in place.
Date and quick set mechanism back in place, working as it should;)
Base movement back together and ticking.
Now that is much better!
Here I am putting the auto winder bridge back together.
Movement back in the case looking great.
The linen finish dial looks great.
A 1960’s classic!
Watch is also for sale of you where to be interested;)
