A client has sent me his Longines calibre 19AS. It’s not running, the setting mechanism does not work and the stem is broken. It needs some TLC
I take the movement apart. I find the Yoke is broken and it needs a new stem.
The movement is cleaned. I fit a new a mainspring and see that the balance moves freely after fitting the shock jewels. I fit a new barrel bush, as the old hole is worn.
I put the base movement back together and it springs back to life.
I put the rest of the movement back together. It looks great back in the case!
