I have finally been able to get some nice generic quick set wheels for the Seiko series 56. The early original ones were made out of plastic and tend to break.
There has been some generic date quick set wheels available, but they have a different design to the original and have trouble changing the day disk; as they don’t have the raised pegs of the original. I have heard with some tweaking they can be made to work, but for me it’s much nicer with the new generic ones from Japan as they are made identical to the old ones made out of steel.
