It’s not every day I see a Cyma calibre 455; so when this project showed up I got it! Even though it was not working and looking pretty beaten up I could see potential in it becoming a beautiful watch again. The first thing I did was sending the case off to replate it. The case came back looking fantastic, but I was missing a quick set pusher, the pointer hand was broken, the hour and minute hand were wrong and it was missing its sub second hand. The project was put in the drawer for a loooong time until I found the motivation a few weeks ago.. I found the correct hands for it and turned up a new quick set pusher, it was then put in the drawer again, but finally this week I got around to giving it a full service and putting it back together.
